Shiism is an alive school with perfect goals so that human
societies in long history of human- being have profited from it.This school founded by the
prophet and his household (Ahlulbayt). After the disappearance of Imam Mahdi Al-Muntazar
the Shia Jurists in all periods and ages, suffering from many inconveniences, tried to
expand this school and presented its high principles and rules to human societies.
Nowadays, with the realization of Islamic laws sovereignty and the
daily tendency of human societies to divine laws, the neccessity of researching on these
divine laws in its different aspects such as political , social, economic and cultural
fields is highly clear and unavoidable.
For the realization of mentioned goals, the great Leader Ayatollah
Khamenei appointed Ayatollah Saied Mahmud Hashemi Shahroudi to establish the Institute
of Fiqh Encyclopedia on Ahlulbayt School.
The most important goals of the institute as the Leader has
mentioned in his appointing order are:
1- Preparing a perfect collection
in the shape of an encyclopeida including all the fields, ideas and works of Shia
Jurists(Foqaha).
2- Researching on the topics related to the Fiqh of Shia such as history of Fiqh,
comparative Fiqh, Islamic economy, preparing the dictionary of Fiqh and
etc...
3- Research and publication of the important references of Fiqh.
4- Publishing the specialized magazines on Fiqh regarding the needs of the society.
5- Publishing books and articles in different languges to identify the Shia school and its
different fields.
ACTIVITES
The area of the institute's
activites are as follows:
1-The activities related to encylopedia and making
indexes of the books on Fiqh as the main purpose of the institute.
2-The activites of Al-Gadir Center for Islamic
studies.
3- Fiqihi(Jurisprudential)-cultural activites
according to the needs of society.
1-Encyclopedia
and Dictionaries.
As we mentioned the
institute is preparing the encylopedia of Fiqh and dictionaries of Fiqhi books so that the
ones concerned to these topics can find the needed matters in the shortest time.
In this connection some important projects were
accomplished as follows:
1-1. Preparing the dictionary of Javahir
Al-Kalam (on Fiqh) in six volums:
Preparing the dictionary of this great book
got a kind of priority. This action not only caused a well introduction of this book but
many entries which are used in preparing encyclopedia were recognized.
1-2. Preparing the topical index of Javahir
Al-kalam.
In this work which its preparation and publication
is coming to an end, the main topics of Javahir -AL- Kalam has been recognized and
presented in following forms:
1- First the ideas and opinions of the
author of Javahir are mentioned.
2- In the second step, the ideas and
opinions of other great scholars which the Javahir author has enumerated.
3- The discussions and
reasonings of the author for each subject.
1-3 . Arranging all the entries of
Fiqh in alphabetic order and making a special file for each enrtry. Now a great percentage
of this work, has been finished, while the rest is being done.
2.
Al-Gadir center for the Islamic studies.
The philosophy
of establishment of this center is considered to defend the pure Mohammadan Islam and
protecting the Shiism. This center has presented more than hundred books. The
other goal of the center is answering the enemies of Shia school .As an example we mention
two researches:
- Publishing a complete collection of the famous book
Al-Gadir (by Allameh Amini) with a new research in this collection. The narrated matters
and traditions have been confirmed by comparing them with Sunni and Shiite refrences.
- Defa’ An Al-Kafi is another precious
work to answer the suspicions toward Shia by its
enemies on the great book of Al-Kafi.

3- Fiqhi – cultural activites
In this part three quarterly are
published:
1- Fiqh -E-Ahlibayt in
Arabic and Persian.
2- Al- Minhaj in
Arabic(printed in Lebanon).
Fiqh-E-Ahlibayt quarterly, which is
published in Arabic and Persian is the only one which reflects the latest works of the
great scholars and Faqihs (religious Jurists) on Fiqh.
3-1. Research department
The activities of this department
are as follows:
- The new aspects and discussions on Fiqh.
- Comparison of Fiqhi (Jurisprudential) discussions
with legal opinions.
- The history of Fiqh, classification of Foqaha
(Jurists) and the books on Fiqh.
- The reports from related centers , presenting
softwares and informative activites on Internet and Intranet web.
